4.2 Installazzjoni Fiżika

For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight between the Master and Slave units. Mount the units securely in their desired outdoor locations, such as on a pole or wall, using appropriate mounting hardware (not included, but standard pole clamps are provided).

  • Choose a mounting location that provides an unobstructed path between the two units.
  • Ensure the units are mounted vertically with the indicator lights facing downwards to prevent water ingress.
  • Use the provided pole clamps or suitable wall mounts to secure the devices.

5. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi

5.1 Point-to-Point (PTP) Mode

In PTP mode, two CPE units establish a direct wireless link to extend network connectivity between two locations. This acts as a virtual Ethernet cable.

5.3 Modalità Ripetitur Wireless

If the distance between two points is too great for a direct link, a third CPE unit can be set up as a relay point (repeater) in an open area between them to extend the wireless transmission range.

6. Manutenzjoni

The UeeVii CPE5824 is designed for outdoor use with an IP65 weatherproof rating, requiring minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks can ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Spezzjoni Viżwali: Periodically inspect the units and cables for any signs of physical damage, wear, or corrosion.
  • Linja tal-Vista ċara: Ensure that the line of sight between the units remains unobstructed by new foliage growth or structures.
  • Tindif: If necessary, gently clean the exterior of the units with a soft, damp drapp. Tużax kimiċi ħarxa jew materjali li joborxu.
  • Aġġornamenti tal-Firmware: Check the UeeVii official website for any available firmware updates to ensure the device operates with the latest features and security enhancements.

7 Issolvi l-problemi

If you encounter issues with your UeeVii CPE5824 Wireless Bridge, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Ebda Konnessjoni/Sinjal Dgħajjef:
    • Linja tal-Vista: Ensure there is a clear, unobstructed line of sight between the Master and Slave units. Obstacles like trees, buildings, or dense foliage can significantly degrade signal quality.
    • Allinjament: Verify that both units are precisely aligned with each other. Slight adjustments can make a significant difference in signal strength.
    • Distanza: While rated for up to 5km, actual performance depends on environmental factors. Ensure the distance is within practical limits for your environment.
    • Qawwa: Confirm that both units are receiving power from their respective PoE adapters and that the adapters are plugged into working outlets.
  • Kwistjonijiet ta' Konnettività tan-Netwerk:
    • Ethernet Cables: Check all Ethernet cable connections. Ensure they are securely plugged in and not damaged. Try swapping cables if possible.
    • Router/Switch: Verify that your main router or network switch is functioning correctly and providing internet access.
    • Kunflitt fl-Indirizz IP: If you manually configured IP addresses, ensure there are no conflicts on your network. Consider resetting units to factory defaults if unsure (refer to the full user manual for reset procedures).
  • Veloċitajiet bil-mod:
    • Interferenza: Dual-band support helps, but other wireless devices or strong electromagnetic fields can cause interference. Try adjusting the channel settings via the web GUI.
    • Ostruzzjonijiet: Even partial obstructions can reduce speed. Re-evaluate the line of sight.
    • Network Load: High network traffic or multiple devices connected to the remote network can impact perceived speed.
  • Aċċess Web GUI:
    • Indirizz IP: Ensure your computer's IP address is in the same subnet as the CPE unit's default IP address (e.g., if CPE is 192.168.1.254, set your computer to 192.168.1.X, where X is not 254).
    • Browser: Ipprova differenti web il-browser jew tnaddaf il-cache tal-browser tiegħek.
