3. Setup Inizjali
3.1 Unpacking and First Use Cleaning

- Plug the coffee maker into a standard 120V AC outlet. The display will flash "12:00".

- Fill the glass carafe with fresh, cold water to the desired "WATER" level indicated on the carafe (e.g., 5 cups).
- Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir. The internal water level indicator will show the corresponding level.
- Place the GoldTone filter into the filter basket. Alternatively, you can use a standard paper filter (size #2 cone filter).
- Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of medium-coarse ground coffee per cup. Do not exceed 8 tablespoons.

- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode. The heating plate will keep the coffee warm for 2 hours, then automatically shut off.

4.2 Using the Programmable Timer (AUTO)

- Prepare the coffee maker for brewing as described in section 4.1 (fill water, add coffee grounds, place carafe).

- To cancel the auto-start function, press the ON/AUTO/MITFI button until the "AUTO" indicator light turns off.

- Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 16 oz (2 cups) of water, or use a commercial descaling agent designed for coffee makers following its instructions.
