Proper fitting is crucial for effective protection. Follow these steps to set up and fit your respirator:

  1. Unpack the Respirator: Carefully remove the respirator from its individual packaging.
  2. Waħħal iċ-Ċingi: The respirator comes with two adjustable straps (upper and lower). Locate the plastic connectors on the sides of the respirator. Insert the ends of the straps into these connectors until they are securely fastened.
  3. Position the Respirator: Hold the respirator in one hand with the nosepiece facing up. Place the respirator over your mouth and nose.
  4. Position the Headbands:
    • Pull the top strap over your head and position it high on the back of your head, above your ears.
    • Pull the bottom strap over your head and position it around your neck, below your ears.
  5. Adjust the Nosepiece: Use both hands to mold the metal nosepiece over the bridge of your nose to achieve a tight seal. Pinching with one hand may result in an improper fit.
  6. Aġġusta ċ-Ċingi: Tighten the straps by pulling on the ends until the respirator feels snug and secure against your face. Ensure there are no gaps around the edges.
  7. Perform a Seal Check:
    • For respirators with an exhalation valve (like the 8293 P100): Place both hands over the respirator, covering the valve. Exhale sharply. If air leaks around the edges, readjust the nosepiece and straps until no leakage is detected.
    • For respirators without an exhalation valve: Place both hands completely over the respirator. Inhale sharply. If air leaks around the edges, readjust the nosepiece and straps until no leakage is detected.

Note: An instructional video demonstrating the setup and fitting process is available from third-party creators. While not an official seller video, it visually explains the steps described above.

Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi

Once properly fitted, the respirator functions by filtering airborne particles as you breathe. The Cool Flow Exhalation Valve opens during exhalation to release warm, humid air, reducing heat build-up inside the mask and improving comfort.

Ensure the respirator remains properly sealed to your face throughout the duration of use. If you detect any odor, taste, or irritation, or if breathing becomes difficult, immediately leave the contaminated area and replace the respirator.

Manutenzjoni
