1. Introduzzjoni
This manual provides essential instructions for the proper use, care, and maintenance of your Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Swiss Automatic Watch. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece.
The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 combines a classic 1970s design with modern watchmaking technology. It features a self-winding Powermatic 80 movement, known for its reliability, precision, and an extended power reserve of 80 hours, supported by an innovative Nivachron hairspring.

2. Setup Inizjali
2.1 L-Ikklikkjar tal-Arloġġ
Your Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 is an automatic mechanical watch. It is powered by the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or its power reserve is low, it needs to be manually wound before wearing.
- Ħoll il-kuruna (jekk applikabbli) u iġbedha għall-pożizzjoni 1.
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. This will build up sufficient power reserve to start the movement.
- Push the crown back in and screw it down (if applicable) to ensure water resistance.
Once wound, the watch will continue to operate as long as it is worn regularly, as wrist movements will keep the mainspring tensioned.
2.2 Issettjar tal-Ħin u d-Data

Figura 2: Ġenb view of the watch, showing the textured crown used for setting time and date.
- L-issettjar tad-Data: Pull the crown out to position 2. Rotate the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- L-issettjar tal-Ħin: Pull the crown out to position 3. The seconds hand will stop. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accuracy, synchronize the time with a reliable time source.
- Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 1 and screw it down firmly (if applicable) to maintain water resistance.
2.3 Aġġustament tal-Brazzuletta
The stainless steel bracelet is designed for comfort and durability. For optimal fit, the bracelet may need to be adjusted by adding or removing links. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a qualified watchmaker or an authorized Tissot service center to prevent damage to the bracelet or clasp mechanism.

3. Kif Tħaddem l-Arloġġ Tiegħek
3.1 Moviment Awtomatiku
The Powermatic 80 movement is a self-winding mechanism. It harnesses the kinetic energy generated by your arm movements to wind the mainspring. When fully wound, the watch has a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop and require manual winding as described in Section 2.1.

3.2 Date Function
The watch features a date display. The date automatically advances at midnight. If the watch has stopped and you need to set the date, refer to Section 2.2. Remember to adjust the date manually for months with fewer than 31 days.
4. Kura u Manutenzjoni
4.1 Reżistenza għall-Ilma
Your Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 watch is water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 meters / 330 feet). This rating makes it suitable for swimming and showering. However, it is not recommended for diving or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in and screwed down (if applicable) before any contact with water.
- Do not operate the crown or push-buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Evita li tesponi l-arloġġ għal bidliet f'daqqa fit-temperatura, li jistgħu jaffettwaw ir-reżistenza tiegħu għall-ilma.
- Have the water resistance checked periodically, especially after any impact or battery replacement (though this is an automatic watch, seals can degrade over time).
4.2 Tindif
To maintain the appearance of your watch, clean the case and metal bracelet regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and thorough drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
