3. Setup
3.1 Mandrel and Nose Piece Installation
- Unscrew the nose piece counter-clockwise to remove it.
- Unscrew the inner hex sleeve and pull it to fully disengage the mandrel.
- Remove the current mandrel.
- Insert the desired mandrel into the tool. Ensure the inner hex sleeve is fully re-engaged.
- Thread the matching nose piece onto the outer sleeve by hand until it is tight.

4.1 Drilling the Pilot Hole
Before installing a rivet nut, drill a pilot hole in your workpiece. The drill bit size should correspond to the outer diameter of the rivet nut body. Refer to the 'Hole Size Guide' below for recommended drill sizes.

4.2 Rivet Nut Installation
- Ensure the tool handles are fully opened.
- Thread the selected rivet nut onto the mandrel until it is fully seated against the nose piece.
- Insert the rivet nut into the pre-drilled hole in your workpiece.
- Press the tool handles together firmly and steadily to compress the rivet nut. The tool will automatically release once the rivet nut is properly set.
- Unthread the tool from the installed rivet nut by turning the knob at the base of the mandrel counter-clockwise.
