This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your STEELMATE 986E Unidirectional Security System. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and to maximize the security features for your motorcycle or scooter. Keep this manual for future reference.

The STEELMATE 986E is a 1-way security system designed to protect motorcycles and scooters. It features a robust alarm system, engine immobilization, and convenient remote control functions.

3. Setup u Installazzjoni
Proper installation is critical for the optimal performance of the STEELMATE 986E security system. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.
3.1 Components Check:

3.4 Wiring Diagram (DC Generation Systems):

4. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
The STEELMATE 986E system is operated primarily using the provided remote controls.

4.1 Arming and Disarming:
- Armar: Agħfas il- Lock button on the remote control. The system will arm, and the siren will chirp once. The turn signals may flash.
- Id-diżarm: Agħfas il- Nisfruttaw button on the remote control. The system will disarm, and the siren will chirp twice. The turn signals may flash.
4.2 Keyless Driving Function:
This feature allows you to start your vehicle without using the physical key, provided the system is disarmed. Consult your installer for specific activation and usage details.
4.3 High-Jack Prevention (Engine Stop):
In an emergency situation, this function can remotely stop the engine of your vehicle. This feature is intended for security purposes only and should be used responsibly.
4.4 Shock Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment:
The built-in shock sensor has 5 levels of sensitivity. Refer to your remote control's specific button combination or sequence to adjust the sensitivity. Higher sensitivity detects lighter impacts, while lower sensitivity reduces false alarms.
4.5 Immobilizer Function:
When armed, the immobilizer prevents the engine from starting unless the system is disarmed with the dedicated remote control. This provides an additional layer of anti-theft protection.
4.6 Parking Position Checking Function:
To locate your vehicle in a crowded parking area, activate the parking position checking function via the remote control. The system will emit a sound, helping you pinpoint your vehicle's location within a range of approximately 10-20 meters.

5.1 Remote Control Battery Replacement:
When the remote control's range decreases or it stops responding, it may be time to replace the battery. The process is simple:
