3. Setup u Installazzjoni
Nota Importanti: This controller is designed to work exclusively with its dedicated display or without any display. Do not attempt to use it with other third-party displays, as program incompatibility may occur.
3.1 Spakkjar u Spezzjoni
Carefully unpack all components. Verify that all items listed below are present and undamaged:
- 1 x 18 MOSFET 45A 3-mode Sine Wave Smart Controller
- 1 x UKC1 Color LCD Display (Optional, if purchased with display)
3.2 Konnessjonijiet tal-Wiring
The controller features various labeled wires for connection to your eBike system. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly matched according to your motor and eBike wiring diagram. Refer to the labels on the controller wires for specific functions (e.g., motor phases, Hall sensors, battery, display, throttle, PAS, brakes).

3.3 Initial Power-Up and Self-Learning Function
After all connections are made, power on your eBike. The controller's self-learning function is crucial for initial setup, especially if there's a mismatch in motor phase or Hall sensor wiring. To activate self-learning:
- Ensure the eBike is on a stand or the rear wheel is off the ground.
- Locate the self-learning wires (usually two white wires). Connect them together.
- The motor will start to rotate. If it rotates in the wrong direction, disconnect the self-learning wires, then reconnect them. The motor should now rotate in the correct direction.
- Once the motor rotates correctly, disconnect the self-learning wires. The self-learning process is complete, and the controller has adapted to your motor's configuration.
This process eliminates the need for complex manual phase matching and ensures optimal performance even if Hall sensors are faulty or mismatched.
4. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
The controller offers versatile operating modes and functions to enhance your riding experience.
4.1 Display Functions (if applicable)
If your controller package includes the UKC1 color LCD display, you can monitor and adjust various parameters directly from the handlebar. The display provides real-time information such as speed, battery voltage, assist level, and more.

4.2 Modi Operattivi
- Hall Sensor Mode (Sine Wave): This is the primary and most efficient mode, providing smooth and quiet motor operation.
- Non-Hall Mode (Square Wave): If your motor's Hall sensors are damaged or disconnected, the controller will automatically switch to square wave mode, allowing continued operation, albeit with potentially less smoothness and more noise.
- Self-Learning Mode: As described in Section 3.3, this function automatically configures the controller to match your motor's phase and Hall sensor wiring.
4.3 Multifunction Features
The controller supports a variety of functions accessible via the display or specific wiring connections:
- Livelli ta' Veloċità: 5 adjustable speed levels for both accelerator and Pedal Assist System (PAS).
- Limitu tal-Veloċità: Configure maximum speed settings.
- Funzjoni Reverse: Allows for backward movement.
- Cruise Control: Maintain a constant speed without continuous throttle input.
- Push Assist: Jipprovdi assistenza b'veloċità baxxa għall-mixi bir-rota.
- Kontra s-Serq: Integrated security features.
- Ibbrejkjar Riġenerattiv: Recovers energy during braking to recharge the battery.
- Electric Braking: Provides additional braking power through the motor.
5. Manutenzjoni
Manutenzjoni xierqa tiżgura l-lonġevità u l-prestazzjoni ottimali tal-kontrollur tiegħek.
- Żomm Niexef: The controller is an electronic device. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture. While the aluminum casing offers protection, direct water ingress can cause damage.
- Indafa: Periodically clean the exterior of the controller and display with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Konnessjonijiet: Regularly check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to intermittent operation or damage.
- Dissipazzjoni tas-Sħana: The black anodized aluminum casing is designed for excellent heat dissipation. Ensure the controller is mounted in a location that allows for adequate airflow and is not obstructed.
- Evita Ħsara Fiżika: Protect the controller from impacts and drops. The robust casing is designed to resist scratches, but severe physical trauma can damage internal components.
6 Issolvi l-problemi
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your eBike controller.
6.1 Motor Not Running or Running Erratically
- Iċċekkja l-Konnessjonijiet: Verify all motor phase wires (usually three thick wires) and Hall sensor wires (usually five thin wires) are correctly and securely connected.
- Utilize Self-Learning: If the motor is not running or running in the wrong direction, perform the self-learning procedure described in Section 3.3. This often resolves issues related to Hall sensor failure or incorrect phase matching.
- Batterija Voltage: Ensure your battery is adequately charged and providing the correct voltage (48V/52V/60V/72V). The controller has under-voltagprotezzjoni.
6.2 Display Not Working or Showing Errors
- Kompatibilità tad-displej: Reconfirm that you are using the provided UKC1 display or no display at all. Using a third-party display will cause incompatibility issues.
- Konnessjoni tad-displej: Check the display cable connection to the controller. Ensure it is firmly seated.
- Provvista tal-Enerġija: Verify the controller is receiving power from the battery.
6.3 Tisħin żejjed tal-Kontrollur
- Fluss tal-arja: Ensure the controller is mounted in a location with sufficient airflow and is not covered or obstructed.
- Tagħbija żejda: Avoid continuously operating the motor at its maximum load for extended periods, especially on steep inclines or with heavy loads. The controller has overheat protection, which may temporarily shut down the system.
6.4 System Shutting Down Unexpectedly
- Attivazzjoni tal-Protezzjoni: The controller features multiple protection mechanisms (over/under voltage, overcurrent, overload, overheat, anti-leakage, locked motor protection). A shutdown indicates one of these protections has been triggered. Identify the cause (e.g., low battery, motor stall, excessive current draw) and rectify it.
- Konnessjonijiet sfużi: Check all power and signal connections for looseness or damage.
