3. Setup
3.1. Żpakkjar u Tqegħid
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and protective films from the machine and accessories.
- Place the espresso machine on a flat, stable, and dry surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Clean all removable parts (water tank, portafilter, filter baskets, drip tray) with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly.
3.2. Mili tat-Tank tal-Ilma
- Remove the transparent water tank located at the rear of the machine.

3.3. First Use / Priming the Machine

- Turn on the machine using the power button. The machine will begin to heat up.
- Once heated, place a container under the portafilter spout (without coffee).
- Press the single or double espresso button to run water through the system. This primes the pump and flushes any manufacturing residue. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
- Run hot water through the steam wand for a few seconds to prime it as well.
4. Operating the Espresso Machine

- Fill the bean hopper with fresh, roasted coffee beans.
- Select your desired grind size using the grind adjustment dial. A finer grind is typically used for espresso, while a coarser grind is for overpressure baskets.
- Insert the portafilter into the grinding cradle. The grinder will activate automatically when the portafilter is pushed against the activation lever.
- Grind the desired amount of coffee into the filter basket.

4.2. Brewing Espresso
- Pre-heat Cups: Place your espresso cups on the cup warming tray or rinse them with hot water from the hot water function.
- Ipprepara l-Portafilter: Wara t-tħin, tamp the coffee grounds evenly and firmly into the filter basket. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Daħħal il-Portafilter: Securely insert the portafilter into the brew group.
- Agħżel il-Birra: Press the single or double espresso button. The machine will automatically dispense the programmed volume of espresso. You can also manually stop the flow by pressing the button again.
- Pressjoni tal-monitor: Observe the barometer during extraction. The needle should ideally be in the optimal range for a perfect espresso.

4.3. Ħalib tal-fwar
- Fill the milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Turn the steam knob to activate the steam wand. Wait for the steam to reach full pressure.
- Purge the steam wand briefly into the drip tray to remove any condensed water.
- Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Angle the pitcher to create a swirling motion.
- Steam the milk until it reaches the desired temperature and texture (micro-foam).
- Turn off the steam knob and immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp drapp biex jipprevjeni li r-residwu tal-ħalib jinxef.
- Use the water system cooling function if you plan to brew another espresso immediately after steaming.

Lock the portafilter into the brew group. Run a brew cycle for 10-15 seconds, then stop. Repeat 3-5 times. Remove the portafilter and rinse thoroughly. Repeat the backflushing process with plain water to rinse.
- Tindif tal-grinder: The integrated grinder can be easily removed for cleaning. Follow the instructions in the grinder section of your full manual for detailed steps. Use the provided brush to remove coffee grounds.
