3. Twaqqif u l-Ewwel Użu
3.1 Disimballaġġ
Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee maker. Ensure all components listed in Section 2 are present and undamaged.

Before brewing coffee for the first time, perform an initial rinse cycle to clean the internal system.

- Repeat this process until the water reservoir is empty.

Regular descaling is crucial to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your coffee maker. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Philips recommends descaling every 3 months or after 400 cups.
- Use a descaling agent specifically designed for coffee machines, preferably Philips SENSEO descaler. Follow the instructions on the descaling agent packaging.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution as per the descaler instructions.
- Place the 1-cup pod holder (without a coffee pod) and a large container (at least 1.5L) under the coffee spout.
- Start the descaling cycle according to your machine's specific descaling procedure (refer to the full manual for detailed steps, usually involves pressing and holding specific buttons).
- After the descaling cycle, perform several rinse cycles with fresh water to remove any descaling agent residue.
