4. Setup
Follow these steps for initial assembly and setup of your circular saw:
- Spakkjar: Neħħi l-komponenti kollha mill-imballaġġ bir-reqqa. Iċċekkja għal xi ħsara jew partijiet neqsin.
- Arma l-Qafas tal-Bażi: Connect the frame components according to the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
- Mount the Saw Unit: Place the main saw unit onto the assembled base frame. Secure it using the provided fasteners.
- Install Saw Blade: If the blade is not pre-installed, carefully mount the 250mm carbide-tipped precision saw blade, ensuring the rotation direction matches the arrow on the saw. Use the appropriate tools for tightening the blade nut.
- Attach Blade Guard and Dust Extraction: Secure the transparent blade guard over the saw blade. Connect the dust extraction hose to the guard and the main dust port on the saw unit.
- Install Parallel and Angle Stops: Attach the parallel stop to the table and ensure it slides smoothly. Position the angle stop in its designated slot.
- Estensjonijiet tal-Mejda: If desired, attach the left and right table extensions to expand the working surface for larger workpieces.
5. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
Proper operation ensures safety and optimal cutting performance.
5.1 Tixgħel/Jitfi
- Biex tixgħel is-serrieq, agħfas il-buttuna ħadra 'ON'.
- To turn off the saw, press the red 'OFF' button. The saw will stop quickly.
5.2 Adjusting Blade Height and Angle
The saw blade's height and angle can be adjusted using a single hand manoeuvre.
- Aġġustament Għoli: Rotate the adjustment wheel to raise or lower the blade. For optimal cutting, the blade should extend slightly above the workpiece.
- Aġġustament tal-Angolu: Tilt the saw blade to the desired angle (up to 45°) for miter cuts. The maximum cutting height at 90° is 85mm, and at 45° is 65mm.

Figura 5.2: Icon showing maximum cutting depth of 85mm at a 90-degree angle.

Figura 5.3: Icon showing maximum cutting depth of 65mm at a 45-degree angle.
5.3 Using the Parallel Stop
The parallel stop is used for precise longitudinal cuts (ripping).
- Position the parallel stop to the desired width using the measurement scale on the table.
- Securely lock the parallel stop in place before starting the cut.
- Feed the workpiece steadily against the parallel stop and into the blade.
5.4 Using the Angle Stop
The angle stop allows for accurate miter cuts.
- Insert the angle stop into the T-slot on the table.
- Adjust the angle stop to the required angle (up to +/- 60°).
- Hold the workpiece firmly against the angle stop and feed it through the blade.
5.5 Estrazzjoni tat-Trab
For a cleaner work environment and improved visibility, connect a suitable vacuum cleaner to the dust extraction port.
6. Manutenzjoni
Manutenzjoni regolari tiżgura l-lonġevità u t-tħaddim sikur tas-serrieq tiegħek.
- Tindif: After each use, unplug the saw and remove sawdust and debris from the table, blade guard, and motor housing using a brush or vacuum. Do not use solvents.
- Kura tax-xafra: Inspect the saw blade regularly for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can cause kickback and poor cuts. Replace worn or damaged blades promptly.
- Lubrikazzjoni: Periodically lubricate moving parts as indicated in the detailed service manual (if applicable).
- Spezzjoni tal-kurdun: Iċċekkja l-korda tal-enerġija għal xi sinjali ta’ ħsara jew tkissir. Ibdelha immedjatament jekk tkun bil-ħsara.
- Guard Functionality: Ensure all safety guards move freely and return to their proper positions.
