Downloading Driver Card Data
Follow these steps to download data from a driver's digital tachograph card:
- Locate the driver card slot on the TACHO2SAFE device.
- Gently insert the driver card into the slot, ensuring it is correctly oriented.
- The device's OLED display will prompt you to initiate the download. Use the function buttons (F1-F4) to confirm.
- The download progress will be shown on the screen. Do not remove the card until the download is complete.
- Once finished, the data is stored internally on the device.
Downloading Digital Tachograph Unit Data
To download data directly from a vehicle's digital tachograph unit:
- Connect one end of the provided download cable to the TACHO2SAFE device and the other end to the digital tachograph unit's download port.
- Power on the TACHO2SAFE device.

- Confirm the download. The device will display the download status.

Using TachoSafeLite Software (PC Only)
The TACHO2SAFE includes the TachoSafeLite software for comprehensive data analysis on your PC. This software is not compatible with Mac computers.
- Install the TachoSafeLite software on your Windows PC.
- Connect the TACHO2SAFE device to your PC using the USB cable.
- Launch the TachoSafeLite application. The software should automatically detect the connected device.

- For data security, you can protect your information within the software using a personalized username and password.

If you already use existing digital tachograph analysis software, the TACHO2SAFE can serve as a dedicated download tool. Simply connect the device to your computer via USB, and your current analysis software should be able to access and process the downloaded data, as it supports standard DLL files.
