The MS8217 requires three AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the device.

Always connect the black test lead to the COM jack. Connect the red test lead to the appropriate input jack based on the measurement type.

Operazzjoni Ġenerali:

  1. Turn the rotary switch to the desired measurement function.
  2. Connect the test leads to the circuit or component under test.
  3. Read the measurement value on the LCD display.
  4. Uża l- GANJA button to switch between auto-ranging and manual ranging if needed.
  5. Agħfas il- ŻOMM button to freeze the display reading. Press again to release.

Specific Measurement Modes:

DC/AC Voltage Kejl:

Turn the rotary switch to V~ (AC Voltage) jew V- (Volum DCtage). Connect the test leads in parallel with the circuit or component. The display will show the voltagqari.

Kejl tar-Reżistenza:

Turn the rotary switch to Ω. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before measuring resistance. Connect the test leads across the component. The display will show the resistance in Ohms (Ω), kilo-ohms (kΩ), or mega-ohms (MΩ).

Current Measurement (DC/AC):

Turn the rotary switch to A~ (AC Current) or A- (DC Current). Importanti: Disconnect power to the circuit. Connect the multimeter in series with the circuit. Reapply power. The display will show the current reading. Be mindful of the maximum current rating for each input jack (mAµA vs. A).

Turn the rotary switch to the capacitance symbol (typically a capacitor icon). Ensure the capacitor is fully discharged before connecting the test leads. Connect the leads across the capacitor. The display will show the capacitance in Farads (F), microfarads (µF), or nanofarads (nF).

Turn the rotary switch to Temp. Connect the temperature probe (thermocouple) to the VΩHzTemp and COM jacks, observing polarity. Place the probe tip on or near the object whose temperature is to be measured. The display will show the temperature in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
