The Vive Toilet Seat Riser is designed for quick and easy installation without the need for special tools. Follow these steps for a secure setup:
- Remove Existing Seat: Carefully remove your current toilet seat and lid from the toilet bowl by unscrewing the bolts at the back. Set them aside.
- Attach Handles to Riser: The handles snap into designated sockets on the riser. Ensure the longer, unpadded end of each armrest is oriented towards the front of the riser. Depress the locking pins and push them into the sockets until they click into place. The sockets are color-coded (red for left, blue for right) to match corresponding stickers on the armrests.
- Place Riser on Toilet: Position the Vive Toilet Seat Riser directly onto the toilet bowl, ensuring the holes on the riser align with the bolt holes on your toilet. The interior lip on the bottom of the riser helps prevent slipping.
- Secure Riser: Insert the long bolts (provided) through the attachment points of your original toilet seat, then through the riser, and into the toilet bowl. Secure them from underneath with the included washers and wing nuts. Tighten firmly by hand.
- Reattach Original Seat: Place your original toilet seat and lid on top of the installed riser, aligning the attachment holes. Secure it using the same long bolts, washers, and wing nuts.
