Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) to the INPUT jack on the FreqOut pedal. Connect the OUTPUT jack of the FreqOut pedal to your amplifier or the next pedal in your effects chain. MOMENTARY / ON Toggle Switch
This switch determines the behavior of the footswitch. When set to 'MOMENTARY', feedback is active only while the footswitch is pressed and held. When released, the feedback stops. When set to 'ON', the footswitch acts as a latching toggle; press once to activate feedback, press again to deactivate. This allows for sustained feedback without continuous foot pressure.
DRY / ON Toggle Switch
This switch controls whether your original dry signal is present alongside the generated feedback. When set to 'ON', both your dry signal and the feedback are heard. When set to 'OFF', only the generated feedback signal is outputted, allowing for pure feedback swells.
RANGE Knob (C-GAIN)
This knob controls the gain of the feedback. Higher settings will result in more intense and sustained feedback. Experiment with this control to find the desired feedback intensity.
ONSET Knob (C-OFFSET)
This knob adjusts the delay before the feedback swells in. A lower setting will result in faster feedback onset, while a higher setting will introduce a longer delay, allowing for more controlled and gradual swells.
TYPE Knob
This multi-position knob selects the harmonic type of the feedback. There are 7 distinct feedback types available:
- SUB: Sub-octave feedback.
- L-1: First harmonic (unison).
- 2: Second harmonic.
- 3RD: Third harmonic.
- 5TH: Fifth harmonic.
- NAT LOW: Natural low-frequency feedback.
- NAT HI: Natural high-frequency feedback.
Feedback Indicator LEDs
The vertical row of red LEDs on the left side of the pedal indicates the level of feedback being generated. These LEDs illuminate progressively as the feedback intensifies.
