Introduzzjoni
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, setup, and maintenance of your Janome HD3000 Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine. Please read all instructions carefully before using the machine to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

1. Setup
1.1 Spakkjar u Tqegħid
Carefully remove the sewing machine from its packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate lighting and space for comfortable operation. The machine comes with a hard case for protection during storage and transport.
1.2 Konnessjoni tal-Enerġija
Connect the power cord to the machine and then to a suitable electrical outlet. The power switch is located on the side of the machine. Turning it on will illuminate the work area light and enable the foot pedal functionality.
1.3 Initial Machine Settings
Before threading, ensure the following settings are correctly adjusted:
- Presser Dial: Set to '3' for general sewing. This dial controls the pressure of the presser foot.
- Stitch Selector: Set to '13' for straight stitching. This dial selects the desired stitch pattern.
- Wisa' taż-Żigżag: Set to '0'. This ensures a straight stitch and prevents accidental zigzagging.
- Tul tal-ħjata: Set to '2'. This determines the length of each stitch.
Always ensure the take-up lever is in its highest position before threading. Rotate the handwheel towards yourself to raise it if necessary.

1.4 Id-Dħul tal-Ħajta ta' Fuq
Follow these steps to thread the upper thread. For a visual guide, refer to the instructional video below.
- Place the spool of thread onto the spool pin, ensuring the felt pad is in place for smooth unwinding.
- Guide the thread behind the black tension disc located at the top.
- Bring the thread down through the right channel.
- Pull the thread up through the left channel, ensuring it passes through the take-up lever from right to left.
- Guide the thread down through the left channel again.
- Pass the thread through the thread guide on the left side of the needle, entering from the back and pulling it forward.
- Thread the eye of the needle from front to back. If the thread end is frayed, trim it with scissors for easier threading.
- Pull approximately 6 inches of thread through the needle and guide it to the left side, under the presser foot.

1.5 Daħħal il-Bobina
The Janome HD3000 features a drop-in bobbin system. Open the bobbin cover plate, insert a wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise). Guide the bobbin thread through the tension spring and out to the left. Close the bobbin cover plate.
To bring up the bobbin thread, hold the upper thread, turn the handwheel towards you to lower and raise the needle. The needle will catch the bobbin thread, forming a loop. Pull the loop up with the upper thread, then pull both threads under the presser foot and towards the back of the machine.

2.2 Ħjata Bażika
Place your fabric under the presser foot and lower the presser foot lever. Gently press the foot pedal to begin sewing. The machine's speed is controlled by the pressure applied to the foot pedal. For reverse stitching, press and hold the reverse stitch lever.
2.3 L-Użu tad-Driegħ Ħieles
To use the free arm for sewing cylindrical items like sleeves or pant hems, slide off the accessory storage box. This reveals the free arm, providing a narrower sewing surface.

Align the new foot with the holder and lower the presser foot lever to snap it into place.
