The integrated GFCI receptacle is designed for user safety. It continuously monitors the electrical current and will trip (shut off power) if it detects a ground fault, preventing electrical shock.

GFCI Self-Test Function:

This GFCI features an automatic self-test function. It periodically performs an internal test to ensure it is functioning correctly. If the GFCI fails the self-test, the indicator light will turn RED, and the unit will trip, indicating it needs replacement.

Manual Test and Reset:

  • Buttuna TEST: Press the "TEST" button (usually black or red) to manually trip the GFCI. This should cause the power to the receptacle to shut off.
  • Buttuna RESET: After testing or if the GFCI has tripped, press the "RESET" button (usually red or white) to restore power. If the GFCI does not reset, or trips immediately, there may be a ground fault or wiring issue that needs to be addressed.

Self-Closing Lids:

The flip cover features self-closing lids that automatically close when a plug is removed. This ensures continuous weatherproof protection for the receptacle when it is not in use.

Soluzzjoni: Unplug all appliances from the GFCI and any downstream outlets. Try to reset. If it resets, plug appliances back in one by one to identify the faulty appliance. If it still won't reset, check the circuit breaker. If the breaker is on and no appliances are connected, the GFCI may be faulty and needs replacement. Observe the indicator light: if it's RED, replacement is necessary.
