The iTouchless 18 Gallon Touchless Sensor Trash Can (Model IT18RC-1) is an automatic, hands-free waste receptacle designed for convenience and hygiene. Featuring a motion-sensor lid, an AbsorbX odor filter system, and mobile caster wheels, this stainless steel trash can is suitable for various environments.

3.1 Installing Caster Wheels

1. Carefully turn the trash can body upside down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Insert each of the 4 caster wheels into the designated slots on the bottom of the trash can. Push firmly until they click into place.
3. Ensure all wheels are securely attached and can rotate freely.
4. Return the trash can to an upright position.

3.2 Powering the Unit (Batteries or AC Adapter)

The trash can can be powered by 4 D-size batteries or an optional AC power adapter.

3.3 Installing the AbsorbX Odor Filter

3.4 Installing a Trash Bag

1. Remove the sensor lid from the trash can body.
2. Place a standard 18-gallon trash bag into the can.
3. Secure the top edge of the trash bag under the retainer ring to prevent it from slipping.
4. Replace the sensor lid onto the trash can body, ensuring it is properly aligned.

4.1 Automatic Sensor Operation

The iTouchless trash can features a motion sensor for hands-free operation.

• To open the lid, simply approach the sensor area (located on the front of the lid) with your hand or an object. The lid will open automatically.
• The lid will remain open as long as the sensor detects motion. Once motion is no longer detected, the lid will close automatically after approximately 5 seconds.
• The VisioSense technology ensures the lid stays open for longer clean-ups, while Refix Technology prevents the lid from closing on your hand.

4.2 Manual Open/Close and Stay-Open Mode

For extended use or specific situations, the lid can be operated manually.

• Manwal Miftuħ: Press the 'OPEN' button on the sensor panel to open the lid.
• Manual Close: Press the 'CLOSE' button on the sensor panel to close the lid.
• Stay-Open Mode: If the lid is opened manually using the 'OPEN' button, it will remain open until the 'CLOSE' button is pressed, or after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity. This is useful for tasks requiring continuous access to the trash can.

5.1 Cleaning the Trash Can

• The stainless steel body is fingerprint-proof and smudge-resistant. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the finish.
• Wipe the sensor area on the lid with a dry, soft cloth to ensure optimal performance. Do not immerse the lid in water.

5.2 Replacing the AbsorbX Odor Filter

For optimal odor control, replace the AbsorbX odor filter every 3 months or as needed.

1. Open the odor filter compartment on the underside of the sensor lid.
2. Remove the old filter and dispose of it.
3. Insert a new AbsorbX odor filter into the compartment.
