5.2 Daħħal Batteriji
The charger features a classical slider construction to accommodate various battery sizes. Gently insert batteries into the charging slots, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings in the slots. The charger will automatically detect the battery type (Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, or Li-ion) and display its current voltage.

6. Modi Operattivi
The BT-C3100 V2.2 offers four distinct operating modes, selectable via the 'MODE' button. Each mode serves a specific purpose for battery management.

Figure 6.1: LCD display showing available operating modes.
6.1 Għażla tal-Modalità
After inserting batteries, press the 'MODE' button to cycle through the available modes. Use the 'CURRENT' button to adjust the current for the selected mode, and the 'SLOT' button to select individual slots for specific settings.
- ĦLAS: Charges the battery to its maximum capacity. The LCD displays voltage, current, and accumulated capacity.
- SKARGA: Discharges the battery to a safe low voltage. Useful for cycling NiCd/NiMh batteries to reduce memory effect.
- TEST: Measures the actual capacity of the battery. The charger will fully charge the battery, then discharge it while measuring the discharged capacity, and finally recharge it. The discharged capacity is displayed.
- QUICK TEST: Measures the internal resistance of the battery. This mode quickly determines the battery's health.
- AFFRESKA: Cycles the battery through charge and discharge multiple times to restore its full capacity, especially for older NiCd/NiMh batteries.
7. Kompatibilità tal-Batterija
The OPUS BT-C3100 V2.2 is compatible with a wide range of rechargeable battery chemistries and sizes.
7.1 Supported Battery Types and Voltages
The charger supports Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, and various Li-ion battery types. For specific Li-ion chemistries (Li-FeO4, high voltage Li-ion), a switch on the board allows selection of different charging termination voltages (3.7V, 4.2V, 4.35V).

Figure 7.1: Supported battery types and their corresponding voltages.
7.2 Supported Battery Sizes
The charger is designed for common battery sizes, including AA (LR6) and AAA (LR3) for NiCd/NiMh, and various 3.7V Li-ion sizes such as 10440, 14500, 16340, 17335, 17500, 18490, 17670, 18650, 26650.

8. Linji Gwida għall-Iċċarġjar
8.1 Current Selection
The charger allows manual selection of charging and discharging currents. For optimal battery life and safety, it is generally recommended to use lower currents for smaller batteries and higher currents for larger capacity batteries. Note that 1500mA and 2000mA charging currents are only available when using a single battery in slot 1 or slot 4.
8.2 Ġestjoni tas-Sħana
During charging and discharging, especially at higher currents, batteries and the charger may generate heat. The BT-C3100 V2.2 is equipped with a cooling fan that activates when the internal temperature or battery temperature exceeds 40°C (104°F). If the battery temperature is sensed to be over 60°C (140°F), the over-heat protection will activate, halting the current working mode for all 4 slots by reducing the charging current to 0mA. Operation will resume once the battery temperature drops below 40°C. Ensure adequate ventilation around the charger during operation.
9. Manutenzjoni
- Tindif: Disconnect the charger from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ħażna: Aħżen il-ċarġer f'post frisk u niexef 'il bogħod mid-dawl tax-xemx dirett u temperaturi estremi.
- Kura tal-batterija: Always remove batteries from the charger once the process is complete.
10 Issolvi l-problemi
- Il-Ċarġer Mhux Qed Jixgħel: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the charger and the wall outlet. Verify the outlet has power.
- Battery Not Detected: Check that the battery is inserted correctly with proper polarity. Ensure the battery is a supported rechargeable type.
- Kwistjonijiet ta' sħana żejda: If the charger or batteries become excessively hot, ensure the cooling fan is not obstructed. Reduce the charging current if possible. The charger will automatically halt operation if temperatures exceed safe limits.
- Vol baxxtage Battery Recovery: The charger is capable of recovering some deeply discharged batteries. If a battery is too low, the charger may initiate a trickle charge to bring its voltage up before regular charging begins.
- Inaccurate Capacity Readings: Ensure the 'TEST' or 'REFRESH' mode is used for accurate capacity measurement. Allow the full cycle to complete.
