1. Introduzzjoni
The FURUNO GP170 IMO Navigator is a highly stable and reliable position fixing system designed for marine vessels, large yachts, ferries, and commercial ships. It serves as an optimal position sensor for integration with radar, AIS, ECDIS, autopilots, echo sounders, and other navigation and communication equipment.
This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your GP170 IMO Navigator.
2. Prodott Aktarview
The GP170 features a newly designed GPS chip and antenna to enhance the stability and accuracy of position fixing. Its new receiver incorporates noise rejection capabilities, offering high tolerance against interference and multipath mitigation. When used with GPA020S or GPA021S antenna units, multipath tolerance is further strengthened.
Various display modes are available, including Plotter, Course, Highway, Data, and Integrity. The Integrity display mode provides highly accurate Skyplot presentations of currently visible satellites, GNSS/SBAS signal reception status including strength and SNR, elevation angles of available satellites, and detailed information on available beacons for enhanced accuracy using SBAS.
With a 10Hz (0.1 second) position update rate, stable own ship tracking is possible. It includes a front panel USB port for exporting/importing routing data, menu settings, and user settings. The unit also features a LAN interface compatible with BAM (Bridge Alert Management) for simple and efficient network integration into bridge systems (IEC 61162-450).
