Setup

The MFJ-918 balun is designed for straightforward installation. Follow these steps for proper setup:

  1. Immuntar: The balun features an eye-bolt at the top for suspension. Use a strong, non-conductive rope or wire to suspend the balun from a suitable support structure (e.g., antenna mast, tree branch). Ensure it is positioned to allow for proper connection of antenna wires and coaxial cable without strain.
  2. Antenna Wire Connection: Connect the two ends of your balanced antenna (e.g., dipole wires) to the two side eye-bolts on the balun. These eye-bolts are the balanced input terminals. Ensure a secure electrical connection.
