5. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi

Segwi dawn il-passi għal kejl preċiż tal-pressjoni tad-demm:

  1. Preparazzjoni: Sit quietly for at least 5 minutes before measurement. Ensure your arm is relaxed and supported at heart level. Do not talk or move during the measurement.
  2. Applika l-Maniċċa: Wrap the cuff snugly around your bare upper arm, about 2-3 cm above the elbow joint. The artery mark on the cuff should align with your brachial artery (inner side of the arm).
  3. Position Stethoscope: Place the diaphragm of the stethoscope gently over the brachial artery, just below the cuff.
  4. Onfoħ il-Maniċċa: Onfoħ il-mankuffa malajr billi tagħfas il-bozza tal-inflazzjoni sakemm il-manometru jaqra madwar 20-30 mmHg 'il fuq mill-pressjoni sistolika tas-soltu tiegħek, jew sakemm il-ħoss tal-polz jisparixxi.
  5. Deflate and Listen: Slowly open the air release valve on the inflation bulb by turning it counter-clockwise, allowing the pressure to drop at a rate of 2-3 mmHg per second.
  6. Qari tar-Reġistrazzjoni:
    • The first distinct tapping sound you hear through the stethoscope indicates the sistolika (upper) blood pressure. Note the reading on the manometer.
    • Continue deflating. The point at which the tapping sounds disappear or become very faint indicates the dijastolika (lower) blood pressure. Note this reading.
  7. Release Air: Fully open the air release valve to deflate the cuff completely. Remove the cuff and stethoscope.
