- Aċċerta ruħek li jkun hemm ventilazzjoni adegwata madwar l-unità.
- Mount the subwoofer securely to prevent it from shifting during vehicle operation.
5.2 Konnessjonijiet tal-Wiring
Refer to Figure 4.2 for the control panel layout when making connections.
- Power Connection (BAT): Connect the +12V terminal (BAT) to the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery using a suitable gauge power cable. Install an in-line fuse (7.5A, as indicated on the unit) as close to the battery as possible.
- Konnessjoni mal-art (GND): Connect the GND terminal to a clean, unpainted metal surface on the vehicle chassis. Ensure a good electrical contact.
- Tixgħel mill-Bogħod (REM): Connect the REM terminal to the remote output of your car stereo. This will turn the subwoofer on and off with your stereo. If your stereo does not have a remote output, the automatic on/off function can be used via high-level or RCA input.
- Input tal-Awdjo (RCA jew Livell Għoli):
- Input RCA: If your car stereo has RCA pre-outs, connect them to the 'LINE IN RCA' inputs on the subwoofer.
- Input ta' Livell Għoli: If your car stereo does not have RCA pre-outs, connect the speaker outputs of your stereo directly to the 'HIGH' level inputs on the subwoofer. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
6. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
Once installed, adjust the subwoofer settings for optimal sound performance.
6.1 Kontrolli
- GAIN (Input Sensitivity): This knob adjusts the input sensitivity of the amplifier. Start with the gain at minimum and slowly increase it until the desired bass level is achieved without distortion.
- X-OVER (Low Pass Filter): This control adjusts the upper frequency limit of the subwoofer. Frequencies above the set point will be filtered out. Adjust this between 70 Hz and 190 Hz to blend the subwoofer's output seamlessly with your main speakers. A common starting point is around 80-100 Hz.
- PHASE (Phase Control): This switch (0°/180°) helps to align the subwoofer's output with the main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the most impactful and coherent bass response.
6.2 Automatic On/Off Function
The GTB 8200A features an automatic turn-on circuit. When using high-level inputs or RCA inputs without a remote turn-on wire, the subwoofer will detect an audio signal and power on automatically. It will power off after a period of no audio signal.
7. Manutenzjoni
- Tindif: Uża drapp artab u niexef biex tnaddaf il-barra tas-subwoofer. Tużax kimiċi ħarxa jew prodotti tat-tindif li joborxu.
- Sostituzzjoni tal-fjus: If the subwoofer does not power on, check the 7.5A fuse located on the control panel. Replace it only with a fuse of the same type and rating.
- Kontrolli regolari: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
