5.2. AC/DC Current Measurement (mA~) / (mA=)
- Turn the rotary switch to the "mA~" (AC Current) or "mA=" (DC Current) position.
- Connect the red test lead to the "mA" input jack and the black test lead to the "COM" input jack.
- Attenzjoni: To measure current, the multimeter must be connected in series with the circuit. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before connecting the multimeter.
- Break the circuit and insert the multimeter in series.
- Re-energize the circuit and read the current value on the display.
5.3. Kejl tar-Reżistenza (Ω)
- Turn the rotary switch to the "Ω" (Resistance) position.
- Connect the red test lead to the "V" input jack and the black test lead to the "COM" input jack.
- Ensure the circuit or component to be measured is de-energized.
- Touch the test probes across the component.
- Aqra l-valur tar-reżistenza fuq il-wiri.

Figure 5: The multimeter measuring the resistance of a small electronic component, showing the reading on the display.
5.4. Logic Level Test
This function allows for quick testing of digital logic levels.
- Turn the rotary switch to the "LOGIC" position.
- Connect the black test lead to the "COM" input jack. The red test lead is integrated into the pen tip.
- Touch the pen tip to the point on the circuit where the logic level is to be tested.
- The display will indicate:
- Livell Għoli: Jekk voltage is >3.5V
- Livell Baxx: Jekk voltage is <3.5V
5.5. Diode Check (→|)
- Turn the rotary switch to the "→|" (Diode) position.
- Connect the red test lead to the "V" input jack and the black test lead to the "COM" input jack.
- Qabbad is-sonda l-ħamra mal-anodu u s-sonda s-sonda s-sewda mal-katodu tad-dijodu.
- Aqra l-quddiem voltage drop on the display. Reverse the probes to check for open circuit (OL) indication.
5.6. Continuity Test (•)))
- Turn the rotary switch to the "•)))" (Continuity) position.
- Connect the red test lead to the "V" input jack and the black test lead to the "COM" input jack.
- Mess il-probi tat-test maż-żewġ punti taċ-ċirkwit jew tal-komponent li għandu jiġi ttestjat.
- If continuity exists (resistance below a certain threshold), the multimeter will emit an audible beep and display a low resistance value. An "OL" (Open Loop) indicates no continuity.
5.7. Żamma tad-Data (HOLD)
Press the "HOLD" button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold and resume live measurements.
5.8. Maximum Value Hold (MAX H)
Press the "MAX H" button to activate the maximum value hold function. The multimeter will continuously monitor and display the highest value measured since the function was activated. Press it again to exit this mode.
5.9. Tifi Awtomatiku
To conserve battery life, the MS8211D is equipped with an auto power-off feature. If no operation is performed for approximately 15 minutes, the multimeter will automatically shut down. To reactivate, turn the rotary switch to the "OFF" position and then back to the desired measurement function.
