Setup

Before brewing coffee for the first time, it is recommended to run a full brewing cycle with only water to clean the internal components:

1. Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to your desired level, using the dual water windows as a guide.
2. Place the permanent filter or a paper filter (cone-style) into the filter basket.
3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee per cup. Adjust to taste.

Setting the Programmable Timer (Auto Function)

The programmable timer allows you to set the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time.

1. Ensure the current time is set correctly on the digital display. If not, press the HR u MIN buttuni biex taġġusta l-ħin.

1. Remove the chlorine filter from the water reservoir before descaling.
2. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water. For example, for a 12-cup cycle, use 4 cups of vinegar and 8 cups of water.
3. Place the empty filter basket (without coffee or filter) and the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
4. Agħfas il- NADIF button. The "CLEAN" indicator light will illuminate, and the descaling cycle will begin.
5. Allow the cycle to complete. The coffee maker will pause periodically during the cycle to allow the cleaning solution to soak.
6. Once the cycle is finished, discard the vinegar solution from the carafe.
