6. Operazzjoni
Once the 1746-P2 power supply is correctly installed and wired, apply the specified AC input voltage. The power supply will automatically convert and distribute the necessary DC voltages to the SLC 500 backplane, powering the processor and I/O modules. There are no user-adjustable controls on the power supply module itself for normal operation.
Refer to the SLC 500 processor and I/O module manuals for specific operational details of the overall system.
7. Manutenzjoni
Routine maintenance helps ensure the longevity and reliability of the 1746-P2 power supply.
7.1 Spezzjoni
- Periodically inspect the power supply and its connections for any signs of damage, loose wiring, or excessive dust accumulation.
- Kun żgur li l-fetħiet tal-ventilazzjoni jkunu ħielsa minn ostakli biex tevita li s-sħana tisħon iżżejjed.

7.2 Tindif
If cleaning is necessary, disconnect all power to the unit. Use a soft, dry cloth or a low-pressure air duster to remove dust and debris. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
7.3 Sostituzzjoni tal-Fjus
If a fuse requires replacement, ensure power is disconnected. The specified fuse replacement is a 250V 3A FUSE (SANO SOC SD4 or BUSSMANN AGC 3). Always replace with a fuse of the identical type and rating.
8 Issolvi l-problemi
This section provides basic troubleshooting steps for common issues. For complex problems, contact qualified technical support.
8.1 No Power to SLC 500 System
- Iċċekkja l-Qawwa tad-Dħul: Verify that the correct AC line voltage (85-132 VAC or 170-265 VAC, 50/60 Hz) is supplied to the power supply terminals.
- Iċċekkja l-Fjusijiet: Inspect the internal fuses of the power supply. If a fuse is blown, replace it with the specified type (250V 3A FUSE, SANO SOC SD4 or BUSSMANN AGC 3).
