Please read all instructions carefully before operating the Buffalo CD400 Meat Grinder. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

2.1 Komponenti

The meat grinder consists of several key parts:

3. Setup u Assemblea

Before first use, clean all removable parts thoroughly. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power outlet during assembly.

  1. Pjazzament: Place the motor housing on a stable, level, and dry countertop. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and operation.
  2. Waħħal ir-Ras tat-Tħin: Insert the grinding head into the motor housing opening and secure it by turning the locking knob clockwise until tight.
  3. Assemble Grinding Components:
    • Insert the auger (worm) into the grinding head.
    • Place the cutting blade onto the auger shaft, ensuring the sharp edges face outwards towards the grinding plate.
    • Select the desired grinding plate (fine, medium, or coarse) and place it over the cutting blade, aligning the notch on the plate with the pin on the grinding head.
    • Screw on the retaining ring clockwise until it is hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
  4. Waħħal it-Trej tal-Għalf: Place the stainless steel feeding tray onto the top of the grinding head.

4. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi

Always ensure the unit is properly assembled and plugged in before operation. Prepare your meat before starting the grinder.

4.1 Preparing Meat

  1. Place a suitable container under the grinding head to collect the ground meat.
  2. Switch the unit ON using the control switch.
  3. Place prepared meat into the feeding tray.
  4. Using the food pusher, gently feed the meat into the feeding tube. Never use your hands or fingers.
  5. Continue feeding meat until all desired quantity is ground.
  6. Once finished, switch the unit OFF and unplug it from the power outlet.

4.3 Using the Reverse Function

The reverse function is useful for clearing blockages or processing tougher, fattier meats that might get stuck.

  1. If the grinder jams or slows significantly, switch the unit OFF immediately.
  2. Switch the unit to the "REV" (Reverse) position. This will cause the auger to rotate in the opposite direction, pushing the meat back out.
  3. Once the blockage is cleared, switch the unit OFF, then back to the "ON" position to resume normal grinding.
  4. If the blockage persists, unplug the unit, disassemble the grinding head, and manually clear the obstruction.

4.4 Making Sausages

To make sausages, replace the grinding plate and cutting blade with the appropriate sausage stuffing attachment.

  1. After grinding your meat, disassemble the grinding plate and cutting blade.
  2. Attach the desired sausage stuffing nozzle to the grinding head and secure it with the retaining ring.
  3. Prepare your sausage casing (natural or artificial) according to its instructions.
  4. Żerżaq il-ċasing onto the sausage nozzle, leaving a small overhang at the end.
  5. Switch the unit ON and feed the seasoned ground meat into the feeding tube.
  6. Guide the casing as it fills, ensuring even distribution and avoiding air pockets. Do not overfill.

Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your Buffalo CD400 Meat Grinder. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

5.1 Tindif

  1. Żarmar: Unplug the unit. Disassemble the feeding tray, retaining ring, grinding plate, cutting blade, auger, and grinding head.
  2. Laħlaħ Inizjali: Rinse all removable parts under warm running water to remove large meat residues.
  3. Ħasil: Wash all removable parts with warm, soapy water and a soft brush. Pay special attention to the holes in the grinding plates and the sharp edges of the blade.

  6. Lubrikazzjoni: After drying, apply a thin layer of food-grade mineral oil to the cutting blade and grinding plates to protect them from corrosion.

Store the meat grinder in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep all accessories together to prevent loss.
