The thermometer comes with one Lithium Ion battery pre-installed. If replacement is needed, refer to the maintenance section.

4.1. Oral Measurement
- Place the thermometer tip under the tongue as far back as comfortable.
- Close your mouth and hold the thermometer in place.
- Wait for the thermometer to beep (approximately 10 seconds). The display will show the peak temperature.
4.2. Axillary (Underarm) Measurement
- Place the thermometer tip in the armpit, ensuring good skin contact.
- Hold the arm firmly against the body to keep the thermometer in place.
- Wait for the thermometer to beep (measurement time may be slightly longer than oral). The display will show the peak temperature.
4.3. Rectal Measurement
Rectal temperature is generally considered the most accurate for infants and young children. Lubricate the tip with a water-soluble jelly before insertion.
- Gently insert the tip no more than 1/2 inch into the rectum.
- Hold the thermometer in place until it beeps. The display will show the peak temperature.
Caution: Do not force the thermometer. If resistance is met, discontinue insertion immediately.
4.4. Recall tal-Memorja
When the thermometer is turned on, it will briefly display the last measured temperature before showing "Lo". This allows you to track recent readings.

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the Lithium Ion battery (LR44 or equivalent). Open the battery compartment cover, remove the old battery, and insert the new one with the correct polarity. Close the cover securely.
