This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, use, and maintenance of the RACO Work Cover. Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding with installation to ensure safe and effective operation.

The RACO Work Cover is a durable, square exposed work cover designed for mounting electrical receptacles and switches onto electrical boxes. It is constructed from 16-gauge galvanized steel, ensuring robust performance and longevity in various electrical installations.

4. Setup u Installazzjoni
The RACO Work Cover is designed for straightforward installation. Ensure all power to the electrical box is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any electrical work.

Passi ta' Installazzjoni:

- Ipprepara l-Kaxxa: Ensure the electrical box is securely mounted and all wiring is properly terminated to the receptacle or switch you intend to install.
- Attach Device to Cover: Align the receptacle or switch with the opening on the RACO Work Cover. Use the provided mounting screws to secure the device to the cover. The cover's design with threaded tabs allows for a secure fit without additional nuts.
- Mount Cover to Box: Carefully position the assembled cover and device over the electrical box. Align the mounting holes on the cover with the screw holes on the electrical box.
- Sikura l-Qoxra: Insert the remaining mounting screws through the cover and into the electrical box. Tighten the screws until the cover is firmly secured to the box. Do not overtighten.
- Irrestawra l-Enerġija: Once the cover is securely installed, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Note: The RACO Work Cover meets NEC Article 250.146(A) requirements, meaning a bonding jumper is not required for covers featuring crushed corners, simplifying the installation process.
5. It-tħaddim tal-Prodott
The RACO Work Cover functions as a protective and mounting enclosure for electrical devices. Once installed, it provides a secure and compliant housing for your receptacles or switches, allowing them to be safely used. There are no operational controls on the cover itself; its function is passive protection and structural support.
6. Manutenzjoni
The RACO Work Cover requires minimal maintenance due to its durable galvanized steel construction.
- Tindif: Periodically wipe the surface of the cover with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Spezzjoni: Annually inspect the cover for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Ensure all mounting screws remain tight. If any damage is observed, replace the cover immediately.
