4. Setup
4.1 Attaching the Chuck
The drill may ship with the chuck detached. To attach the chuck:
- Ensure the drill is disconnected from the air supply.
- Locate the chuck and the spindle. The spindle thread is 3/8-24.
- If a retaining screw is present inside the chuck, remove it using a Torx T25 bit. Note that this is a left-hand thread screw.
- Thread the chuck onto the spindle by hand until it is snug.
- Insert the retaining screw (if applicable) and tighten it securely.
- Use the provided chuck key to open and close the chuck jaws.
4.2 Konnessjoni mal-Provvista tal-Arja
- Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required air pressure and volume (refer to specifications).
- Attach a 1/4-Inch NPTF air inlet fitting to the drill's air inlet thread.
- Connect a minimum 3/8-Inch air hose to the fitting.
- Kun żgur li l-konnessjonijiet kollha huma siguri u mingħajr tnixxija.
- Set your air compressor regulator to the recommended operating pressure (e.g., 90 PSI).
4.3 Twaħħil tal-Manku tal-Ġenb
The side handle provides improved control and stability, especially during high-torque operations.
- Slide the side handle collar over the drill body.
- Position the handle for comfortable and secure grip.
- Tighten the handle using an Allen key to secure it in place.
5. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
5.1 Daħħal u Tneħħija tal-Bits tat-Trapan
- Skonnettja l-provvista tal-arja.
- Insert the drill bit into the chuck jaws. Ensure the bit is centered.
- Tighten the chuck jaws firmly using the chuck key. A properly tightened chuck prevents bit slippage and ensures safety.
- To remove, loosen the chuck jaws with the key and pull out the bit.
5.2 Operazzjoni Bażika
- Kun żgur li l-biċċa tax-xogħol tkun clamped.
- Qabbad il-provvista tal-arja.
- Position the drill bit at the desired drilling location.
- Gently press the teasing throttle to start the drill at a slow speed for precise hole starting.
- Gradually increase pressure on the throttle to achieve the desired drilling speed.
- Apply steady, even pressure to the drill. Do not force the tool.
- When the hole is complete, release the throttle and allow the drill to stop before removing it from the workpiece.
5.3 Funzjoni Riversibbli
The CP789HR features a reversible function, indicated by a small lever or button near the trigger. This allows you to change the direction of rotation. Use the reverse function to:
- Back out a drill bit that has become stuck in the material.
- Drive or remove screws (with appropriate bit).
Dejjem kun żgur li t-trapan waqaf kompletament qabel ma tbiddel id-direzzjoni tar-rotazzjoni.
