It is built for all-weather use and offers comprehensive capabilities for both ambient and flash light readings, including mixed lighting scenarios. Its advanced features ensure accurate exposure control for professional and enthusiast photographers.

4. Setup
- Installazzjoni tal-batterija: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the meter (refer to Figure 3.4). Open the cover and insert the required batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Qawwa Mixgħul: Agħfas il- Qawwa button to turn on the light meter. The display should illuminate.
- Settings Inizjali: Set your desired ISO sensitivity using the ISO buttons. This should match the ISO setting of your camera.

5.1. Measuring Ambient Light
- Incident Light Measurement: Extend the incident lumisphere (white dome) by sliding it into position. Point the lumisphere towards the light source from the subject's position. Press the measurement button to obtain a reading.
- Reflected Light Measurement (Spot): Retract the incident lumisphere. Aim the spot meter's lens at the specific area of the subject you wish to measure. The L-508 offers a zoom spot feature for precise targeting. Press the measurement button.
5.2. Measuring Flash Light
- Modalità Flash: Agħfas il- Modalità button until the flash icon appears on the display.
- Flash Uniku: Position the meter (incident or spot mode) and trigger your flash unit. The meter will display the f-stop.
- Multiple Flash Cumulative: In flash mode, after the first flash reading, trigger subsequent flashes. The meter can accumulate up to 9 flashes, providing a combined exposure value.
5.3. Funzjoni tal-Memorja
The L-508 allows you to store up to three readings. After taking a measurement, press the Memorja button (refer to Figure 3.3) to save the value. You can recall these values for comparison or averaging.
6. Manutenzjoni
- Tindif: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the meter's body. For the display and lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution if necessary, avoiding abrasive materials.
- Ħażna: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the meter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
