The Game Boy Pocket, model MGB-001, is a compact and lightweight version of the original Game Boy, designed for portable entertainment. It features a monochrome display and is compatible with all original Game Boy Game Paks.

Setup

- Ensure the Game Boy Pocket is turned off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the console.

1. Inserting a Game Pak
- Ensure the Game Boy Pocket is turned off.
- Hold the Game Pak with the label facing the front of the Game Boy Pocket.
- Gently slide the Game Pak into the Game Pak Slot on the top edge of the console until it clicks into place. Do not force the cartridge.
To remove a Game Pak: Ensure the Game Boy Pocket is turned off. Gently pull the Game Pak straight out of the slot.
2. Logħob
- Insert a Game Pak and turn on the Game Boy Pocket.
- The game will typically start automatically or display a title screen.
- Use the D-pad to move characters or navigate menus.
- Use the A and B buttons for in-game actions.
- The START and SELECT buttons perform various functions depending on the game. Refer to the specific Game Pak's instruction manual for detailed controls.
3. Adjusting Screen Contrast
If the screen appears too dark or too light, adjust the Contrast Dial located on the right side of the console. Rotate the dial until the image on the screen is clear and comfortable for your eyes.

To change the sound level, use the Volume Dial located on the left side of the console. Rotate the dial to increase or decrease the volume.
