It features versatile compatibility, advanced multi-layer protection, and a professional cooling system to ensure safe and stable operation. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your FAC580 charger.

  1. Wire terminal to MC4: Connects to the power station.

4. Setup u Installazzjoni

Follow these steps to properly install your FAC580 Alternator Charger:

  1. Pass 1: Qabbad il-Kejbils
    • Fix the input and output lines to the FAC580 with the provided screws.
    • Before installation, check that all product functions are working properly.
    • Connect the output and input cables of the FAC580 properly.
  2. Step 2: Track
    • Route the input cable from the vehicle to the car battery, ensuring it is securely placed and not interfering with moving parts.
  3. Step 3: Wire to Battery
    • Ensure the FAC580 switch is in the off position (O).
    • Connect the input cable to the car battery:
    • Red wire to Battery + (Positive terminal)
    • Black wire to Battery - (Negative terminal)
  4. Step 4: Fixed
    • Securely fix the FAC580 onto a stable surface in the car, such as the car wall, using appropriate mounting hardware.

The FAC580 offers two charging modes for different scenarios.

  1. Step 5: Connect Power Station
    • Connect your power station to the FAC580 using an XT90-MC4 cable (not included, typically supplied with the power station).
  2. Step 6: Select Mode & Start Charging
    • Use the switch button (4) to select the desired charging mode.

Modi ta' Iċċarġjar:

  • Mode 1 (Recommended for Driving): Road-Powered Charging

    Activate this mode during journeys to store power. This allows you to charge your power station while driving, ensuring you have power upon reaching your destination.

    • Input Voltage 13.2-14V: Qawwa Massima ta' 300W
    • Input Voltage > 14V: Auto boost to 580W (Fast Charging)
    • Input Voltage <13.2V: Auto Cuts Off (to protect car battery)
  • Mode 2 (Emergency Use Only): Emergency Engine-Off Charging

    Use this mode when you need urgent power with the engine off. The FAC580 will instantly power your power station and protect your car's battery while charging.

    • Input Voltage 13.2-14V: Qawwa Massima ta' 300W
    • Input Voltage > 14V: Auto boost to 580W (Fast Charging)
    • Input Voltage <13.2V: Auto Cuts Off (to protect car battery)

The FAC580 charger automatically adjusts the output power according to the input voltage. Meta l-input voltage is out of the voltage range, it automatically stops charging to protect both the car battery and the power station.

6. Manutenzjoni

  • Tindif: Keep the charger clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilazzjoni: Ensure the fan and vents are not obstructed to allow for proper cooling.

7 Issolvi l-problemi

The FAC580 is equipped with multi-layer protection features to ensure safe operation. If you encounter issues, refer to the following:

  • L-ebda Ħruġ ta' Iċċarġjar:
    • Check if the input cable is securely connected to the car battery and the FAC580.
    • Ensure the output cable is properly connected to the power station.
    • Verify the car battery voltage is within the operational range (above 13.2V for charging). If the voltage is too low, the charger will automatically cut off.
    • Check the switch button position.
  • Protezzjoni minn temperatura żejda:
    • If the charger becomes excessively hot, it may activate over-temperature protection and stop charging. Ensure proper ventilation and clear any obstructions from the fan and vents. Allow the unit to cool down before resuming operation.

    • If these protections are triggered, the charger will cease operation to prevent damage. Disconnect all connections, inspect for any faults (e.g., short circuits in cables, incorrect wiring), and reconnect after resolving the issue.

    • The charger will stop charging if the input voltage drops below 12V (for 12V systems) or 24V (for 24V systems) to protect the car battery from deep discharge. The charger will recover when the voltage rises to 12.5V or 25V respectively.
