5. Setup

5.1 Installazzjoni tal-batterija

The MASTECH MY63 requires a 9V battery (not included) for operation.

  1. Ensure the multimeter is turned off.

Before taking any measurement, ensure the test leads are correctly connected and the rotary switch is set to the desired function.

  1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩHz jack.
  2. Turn the rotary switch to the desired DCV (V=) or ACV (V~) range. The meter has auto-ranging, so it will select the appropriate range automatically.

6.2 Measuring DC/AC Current

  5. Apply power to the circuit and read the current value on the LCD.

  1. Turn the rotary switch to the hFE position.
