6. Setup
6.1. Immuntar tal-Iskopju tar-Rifle
- Select appropriate scope rings and a mount compatible with your firearm and the riflescope's 34mm tube diameter.
- Securely attach the mount to your firearm's rail system according to the mount manufacturer's instructions.
- Place the riflescope into the rings, ensuring proper eye relief and reticle alignment.
- Tighten the scope ring screws evenly and gradually to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications. Avoid over-tightening.
6.2. Aġġustament tad-Djopter
The diopter adjustment focuses the reticle to your individual eyesight, ensuring a sharp reticle image.
- Ipponta l-iskopju tar-rifle lejn sfond sempliċi u qawwi (eż., sema ċar jew ħajt vojt).
- Look through the scope and quickly glance away.
- While quickly glancing back, adjust the locking diopter ring (Figure 2) until the reticle appears perfectly sharp and clear.
- Once adjusted, lock the diopter ring in place if it has a locking mechanism.
6.3. Zeroing the Riflescope
Iż-żerojar jallinja l-punt tal-impatt mal-punt tal-mira f'distanza speċifika.
- Mount the riflescope on your firearm and ensure it is securely fastened.
- Use a bore-sighting device or fire a shot at a target at a short range (e.g., 25 yards) to get on paper.
- Adjust the elevation and windage turrets (Figure 3) to move the point of impact towards the point of aim. Each click of the turret moves the impact point by 0.1 MRAD at 100 yards (or 1 cm at 100 meters).
- Repeat the process at your desired zeroing distance (e.g., 100 yards) until the point of impact consistently matches the point of aim.
6.4. Setting the ZERO STOP
The ZERO STOP feature allows you to quickly return to your zero setting without looking at the turret markings.
- After zeroing your riflescope, ensure the elevation turret is at your desired zero position.
- Refer to the specific instructions for your ZERO STOP mechanism (typically involves loosening a set screw or ring, rotating a collar to the zero mark, and then re-tightening). Consult Figure 3 for the location of the ZERO STOP mechanism.
- Once set, the elevation turret will stop at your zero position when rotated counter-clockwise.
6.5. Aġġustament tal-Parallax
Parallax is the apparent shift in the reticle's position relative to the target when your eye moves. The parallax adjustment corrects this for different distances.
- With the riflescope mounted and aimed at a target, rotate the parallax adjustment knob (Figure 3) to the approximate distance of your target.
- While looking through the scope, move your head slightly up and down, or side to side. If the reticle appears to move relative to the target, adjust the parallax knob until there is no apparent movement.
- The image and reticle should both be sharp and clear, and the reticle should remain stationary on the target regardless of minor head movement.
7. Joperaw
7.1. Aġġustament tal-Ingrandiment
Rotate the magnification adjustment ring (Figure 2) to select your desired magnification level between 8x and 32x. The First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle will scale proportionally with the magnification.
7.2. Illuminazzjoni tar-Reticle
The illumination turret (Figure 3) controls the brightness of the reticle. Rotate the knob to turn the illumination on/off and adjust through various brightness settings. This feature is useful in low-light conditions.
7.3. First Focal Plane (FFP) Reticle
The LHD 8-32X56SFIR FFP-Z features a First Focal Plane reticle. This means the reticle physically grows and shrinks in proportion to the target image as you adjust the magnification. This ensures that all reticle subtensions (e.g., mil-dots, hash marks) remain accurate at any magnification setting, which is crucial for range estimation and holdovers.

8. Manutenzjoni
8.1. Tindif
- Lentijiet: Use the provided chamois cleaning cloth or a high-quality lens cleaning pen/solution. Gently brush off any loose dust or debris before wiping. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Korp: Imsaħ il-korp tar-riflescope b'ċarruta ratba, damp drapp. Għal ħmieġ iebes, tista' tintuża soluzzjoni ta' sapun ħafif, segwita minn imsaħ b'ċarruta nadifa u damp drapp.
8.2. Ħażna
- Aħżen ir-riflescope f'post frisk u niexef, 'il bogħod mix-xemx diretta u minn temperaturi estremi.
- Ensure lens caps are in place to protect the lenses from dust and scratches.
- If storing for extended periods, remove the battery from the illumination turret to prevent corrosion.
9 Issolvi l-problemi
- Immaġni mċajpra: Adjust the diopter for reticle sharpness and the parallax knob for target sharpness. Ensure lenses are clean.
- L-ebda Illuminazzjoni tar-Reticle: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary. Ensure the illumination turret is turned to an 'ON' setting.
- Punt ta' Impatt Inkonsistenti: Verify that the scope rings and mount are securely tightened. Check for any loose components on the firearm. Ensure proper shooting technique.
- Reticle Movement: If the reticle appears to move when you shift your eye, re-adjust the parallax for the target distance.
10. Għajnuniet għall-Utenti
- Caliber Compatibility: While this riflescope is robust, always ensure it is compatible with the recoil of your specific firearm's caliber. Consult your firearm's manual or a qualified gunsmith if unsure.
- Practice Eye Relief: Consistent eye relief is crucial for a full, clear sight picture and to avoid scope bite. Practice your shooting stance to maintain a consistent head position.
- Turret Tracking: Before critical use, perform a 'box test' to verify the turrets track accurately and return to zero reliably.
