4.1. Transmitter (825T)

6.1. Strong Current Hunting Mode (Detecting Cables In-Wall/Earth)

This mode is used to detect the direction of cables, electrical lines, or pipelines buried in walls or underground, even under live voltage (sa 220V).

  1. Connect the Transmitter (825T) to the target cable using the appropriate accessory cable and alligator clips. Ensure a secure connection.
  2. Set the Transmitter switch to 'Live' mode.
  3. Turn on the Receiver (825R) and adjust the sensitivity dial to an appropriate level.
  4. Move the Receiver's probe along the suspected path of the cable. The signal indicator LEDs and audible beeps will guide you to the cable's location and direction. A stronger signal (more LEDs lit, faster beeping) indicates closer proximity to the cable.

6.2. Network Cable Hunting Mode

This mode helps accurately find a specific network cable among many others.

  1. Insert one end of the RJ45 network cable into the Network Cable Tracking port on the Transmitter (825T).
  2. Set the Transmitter switch to 'Scan' mode.
  3. Turn on the Receiver (825R) and adjust its sensitivity.
  4. Move the Receiver's probe along the network cables. The indicator on the Receiver will turn green, and an audible signal will be emitted when the probe approaches the target cable.

6.3. Circuit Breaker Hunting Mode (Air Switch Detection)

This mode is used to identify the correct circuit breaker for a specific power outlet. Note: This function only supports 120V systems.

  1. Plug the Socket Tester (825M) into the power outlet connected to the circuit you want to test.
  2. Short press the "Socket" button on the Receiver (825R). The red indicator light on the Receiver's "Socket" button will illuminate, indicating it's in circuit breaker hunting mode.
  3. Move the Receiver's probe near the circuit breakers in the distribution box. The target circuit breaker will be identified by an audible signal from the Receiver.

6.4. Socket Test Function

The Socket Tester (825M) can be used independently to check the wiring status of a power socket.

  1. Plug the Socket Tester (825M) directly into a power outlet.
