The COMFAST CF-E312A V2 is a high-performance 5.8GHz outdoor wireless bridge designed for long-distance data transmission. It supports a wireless transmission rate of 300Mbps and is capable of covering distances between 5 to 10 kilometers. This device is ideal for various outdoor long-distance wireless monitoring projects, including applications in scenic spots, harbors, oil fields, and construction sites.

3. Setup

3.1 Installazzjoni Fiżika

The CF-E312A V2 supports pole mounting, wall mounting, and bracket mounting. Stainless ties are provided for fixed installation without requiring additional tools.

The CF-E312A V2 supports dual-port PoE power supply, simplifying power delivery for IP cameras and enabling seamless integration of IP video systems.

To power a surveillance camera, toggle the switch on the CPE to the left, then connect a network cable from the CPE to the camera. This setup transmits both power and data, reducing engineering costs and power-related issues.

3.4.1 Point-to-Point Connection (Multiple Cameras Way 1)

Connect the camera(s) to a network switch, then connect the switch to one COMFAST CPE (configured in Terminal mode). The data is then transmitted wirelessly to a second COMFAST CPE (configured in AP mode), which connects to a DVR or monitoring computer.

3.4.2 Point-to-Point Connection (Multiple Cameras Way 2)

If cameras are far apart, configure each camera with its own CPE. The control center connects to a CPE in AP mode via a switch, which then connects to a DVR. Each camera's CPE (in Terminal mode) wirelessly connects to the AP mode CPE.

Important Note for Multi-Point Connections: If the angle between the camera and monitor center is less than 60 degrees, a single point-to-multi-point connection can be considered. This can reduce the number of CPEs needed in transmitting mode, saving project costs. Ensure the connection meets the required angle and broadband requirements. For wireless monitoring transmission, pay attention to the device's transmission angle, which is 60 degrees.

6 Issolvi l-problemi

8. Għajnuniet għall-Utenti

• Pairing for Long Distance: For optimal and stable 5-10km wireless transmission, it is highly recommended to purchase and configure two CF-E312A V2 units to act as a wireless bridge. A single unit cannot achieve this long-range transmission on its own.
