5. Setup

  1. Carefully unpack the laser engraving machine and all accessories.
  2. Place the machine on a stable, level surface. The machine is equipped with caster wheels for convenient movement, which can be locked once positioned.

  • Exhaust Fan & Smoke Pipe: Connect the exhaust fan and smoke pipe to the machine's exhaust port. Route the smoke pipe to an outdoor vent or a suitable filtration system to remove fumes.

  1. Install the provided laser engraving software (RD Works V8) from the included CD onto your computer. The machine is also compatible with LightBurn software (not included).

  3. Alternatively, you can transfer design files to the machine via a U-disk (USB flash drive) by inserting it into the U-disk port.
  4. A network interface port is also available for network connectivity.

6.1 Designing and Software

  • Create your designs using compatible software such as LightBurn, CorelDRAW, or AutoCAD.
  • The RD Works V8 software features 128MB memory and supports 2000dpi high accuracy.
  • You can set different parameters (e.g., power, speed) for different colors within your design for varied engraving/cutting effects.

  1. Open the machine's protective cover.
  2. Place your material on the honeycomb working table. The 90x60cm large working surface provides ampl-ispazju.
  3. Adjust the focus of the laser head according to the material thickness. The premium laser head ensures improved engraving precision.

6.4 Engraving/Cutting Process

  1. Once your design is loaded and parameters are set, initiate the job from the software or directly from the machine's control panel.
  2. The CO2 laser tube will emit a laser beam, guided by the reflect and focus optics, to engrave or cut the material.
  3. Monitor the process through the transparent protective cover.

7. Manutenzjoni

  • Regularly clean the optics (mirrors and lens) with appropriate cleaning solutions and wipes to ensure optimal laser performance.
  • Clean the honeycomb working table to remove debris and residue.
  • Keep the interior of the machine free from dust and particles.

7.2 Cooling System Check

  • Ensure the water pump is always functioning and the water level in the cooling reservoir is adequate.
  • Periodically replace the water in the cooling system to prevent algae growth and maintain cooling efficiency.
  • Verify that the built-in cooling fan is operating to reduce the temperature of internal components.

7.3 Laser Tube Inspection

  • The CO2 laser tube has a lifespan of approximately 2000-4000 hours. Monitor its performance and consider replacement when output power significantly decreases.
  • Handle the laser tube with extreme care if replacement is necessary.
