The OTTOCAST i3 AI Box is specifically designed for BMW iDrive systems (IDrive 6, 7, 8, 9) and Kia vehicles with wireless CarPlay. It seamlessly converts your car's iDrive system into a standalone Android environment, greatly expanding entertainment capabilities. Setup Istruzzjonijiet

1. Power on your car's infotainment system.
2. Connect the OTTOCAST i3 AI Box to your car's USB port using the provided USB cable.
3. On your car's display, navigate to the Media or CarPlay section and select the device named 'AiBox-XXXX' to connect the Bluetooth.
4. If any pop-up appears, agree to the terms to proceed.

The AI Box supports both Nano SIM card for cellular data and TF (Micro SD) card for expanded storage or media playback.

• Nano SIM Card: Insert a Nano SIM card into the designated slot for cellular data network access.

Tip: Power off the device before inserting or removing the Nano SIM card or TF card.

• Using Cellular Data (Nano SIM): Once the Nano SIM card is inserted, the device will automatically attempt to connect to the cellular network.
• Konnessjoni mal-Wi-Fi: Go to AI Box Settings > Network & Internet > Internet > Wi-Fi. Join an available Wi-Fi network, such as a router or personal hotspot from your phone.

2. Pairing Your Phone with Bluetooth

1. On your phone, open Bluetooth settings and ensure it is discoverable.
2. On the AI Box, open the Bluetooth application.
3. Tap the 'Search' button in the Device list to find your phone.
4. Select your phone from the completed Bluetooth list and tap 'Connect'.

3. Connecting a Bluetooth Remote Control

1. Ensure your remote control is in pairing mode.
2. Pair the Bluetooth remote control after connecting the AI Box.
3. Follow any prompts on your mobile phone for Bluetooth pairing.

Tip: The layout of the Bluetooth pairing pop-up may vary depending on your mobile phone's brand.

5. Output HDMI

The device features an HDMI 2.0 output port. When using this port, the screen ratio will maintain the BMW original car screen ratio.

1. Online System Upgrade

1. Ensure the product is connected to the internet.
2. Go to Settings > System settings > Version information > Online upgrade.
3. If a new software update is available, click the update button to download and install.

Tip: DO NOT power off the device while updating!

2. TF Card System Upgrade

1. Format a TF card to FAT32.
2. Place the "upgrade auto" and "Zeus L8M L-DH1 TMI ota-xxx.zip" upgrade files into the root directory of the TF card.
3. Insert the prepared TF card into the device.
4. Power on the device and wait for the automatic upgrade process to begin.
5. Meta l-upgrade file is recognized, the indicator light will change from 'flashing' to 'steady on'.
6. After the upgrade is complete, the light will change from 'steady on' to 'flashing', indicating completion.

If you encounter issues or questions, you can utilize the online log submission feature to help resolve concerns promptly.
