4. Setup u Assemblea
4.1 Prekawzjonijiet tas-Sigurtà
- Always work in a well-ventilated area when soldering.
- Use appropriate safety gear, such as safety glasses.
- Be careful with hot soldering irons to avoid burns.
- Ensure your power supply is within the specified voltage range to prevent damage to components.
4.2 Għodod Meħtieġa
- Ħadid tal-issaldjar
- Wajer tal-istann
- Qtugħ/tqaxxir tal-wajer
- Small screwdriver (for potentiometer adjustment)
- Multimeter (optional, for testing)
4.3 Passi tal-Assemblea
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your LED Flow Water Light Module:
- Identifika Komponenti: Lay out all components and identify them by their markings and values. Refer to the circuit diagram (Figure 3) and PCB markings.
- Reżisturi tal-Istann: Solder all resistors (R1-R13, R2, R3, R4) to their designated positions on the PCB. Resistors are not polarized.
- Kondensaturi tal-Istann: Solder capacitors (C1, C2) to their respective locations. The capacitors in this kit are typically non-polarized ceramic or film capacitors.
- Sokits tal-IC tal-istann: Solder the IC sockets for the NE555 and CD4017. Ensure the notch or dot on the socket aligns with the corresponding marking on the PCB.
- LEDs tal-istann: Solder the 10 LEDs (D1-D10). LEDs are polarized. The longer lead is the anode (+) and the shorter lead is the cathode (-). The flat edge on the LED body also indicates the cathode. Match these with the PCB markings.
- Potenzjometru tal-Istann: Solder the 50KΩ potentiometer (R4) into its position.
- Solder Power Connector: Solder the power input connector (J1/CON2).
- Daħħal l-ICs: Carefully insert the NE555 and CD4017 ICs into their respective sockets. Ensure the notch or dot on the IC aligns with the notch on the socket and the PCB marking. Press gently until fully seated.

5. Istruzzjonijiet Operattivi
- Konnessjoni tal-Enerġija: Connect a DC power supply (within the 2.5V to 14.5V range) to the power input connector (J1/CON2) on the PCB. Ensure correct polarity (+ and -).
- Funzjonalità: Once power is applied, the circuit will immediately begin operating. The LEDs (D1-D10) will light up sequentially, creating a 'flowing water' or 'chasing light' effect.
- Aġġustament tar-Rata tal-Fluss: Use a small screwdriver to turn the knob on the 50KΩ potentiometer (R4). Turning R4 will adjust the oscillation frequency of the NE555 timer, thereby changing the speed at which the LEDs light up in sequence.
6 Issolvi l-problemi
- No LEDs light up:
- Check power supply connection and ensure the voltage is within the specified 2.5V-14.5V range.
- Verify correct polarity of the power input.
- Inspect all solder joints for cold joints (dull, lumpy solder) or accidental shorts.
- Ensure the NE555 and CD4017 ICs are inserted correctly and fully seated in their sockets.
- Some LEDs don't light up:
- Check the solder joints for the specific non-working LEDs.
- Verify the polarity of the non-working LEDs.
- If possible, test individual LEDs with a current-limited power source to ensure they are functional.
- LEDs light up but not in sequence:
- Re-check all wiring and soldering around the CD4017 IC.
- Ensure the correct orientation of the CD4017 IC in its socket.
- Flow rate cannot be adjusted:
- Check the soldering of the potentiometer (R4).
- Ensure R4 is the correct value (50KΩ).
- Verify all connections around the NE555 timer circuit, especially resistors R2, R3, R4 and capacitors C1, C2.
7. Għajnuniet għall-Utenti
- Kontroll ta' qabel l-assemblaġġ: Before you begin soldering, take time to identify all components and double-check their values and orientations against the circuit diagram and PCB markings.
- Kwalità tal-Istann: Aim for shiny, cone-shaped solder joints. Avoid dull, lumpy (cold) joints or excessive solder that could create shorts.
- Ittestjar Inizjali: For initial power-up, it's recommended to use a lower voltage power supply (e.g., 5V) if available. This can help prevent damage in case of assembly errors.
- Kontroll tal-Kontinwità: Use a multimeter to check for continuity between connected points and to ensure there are no unintended shorts, especially around IC pins, before applying power.
