5. Setup

1. Insert a charged DeWalt 20V MAX battery.
2. Press the power switch to turn on the tool. The LCD display will illuminate.

The shears offer two cutting diameter modes: 0.8 inch (20mm) and 1.2 inch (30mm).

• While the tool is on and blades are open, press and hold the trigger for 3 seconds to switch between the two modes.
• The blade opening will adjust to indicate the selected mode.

6.3 Pruning Operation

6.4 Automatic Blade Closure

When you are finished using the tool, press and hold the trigger for 5 seconds. You will hear a series of beeps (beep ~ beep beep beep), and the blades will automatically close and lock for safety.
