4. Setup

4.1. Installazzjoni tal-batterija

The device requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

5.1. Power On/Off

5.2. Basic Distance Measurement

5.3. Changing Measurement Reference Point

The device allows you to set the measurement reference point from either the front or the rear of the device. The default is usually the rear. Press the Reference/Mute button to toggle between front and rear reference points. An icon on the display will indicate the current reference point.

5.4. Kejl Kontinwu (Min/Max)

This mode allows for dynamic measurement, displaying the minimum and maximum distances as you move the device. This is useful for finding the shortest or longest distance to a target.

3. Move the device slowly. The display will show real-time, minimum, and maximum distances.

5.5. Area, Volume, and Pythagorean Measurement

The device supports various advanced measurement functions:

• Kejl taż-Żona: Agħfas il- MEAS button until the area icon (rectangle) appears. Measure the length and width sequentially. The device will calculate and display the area.
• Kejl tal-Volum: Agħfas il- MEAS button until the volume icon (cube) appears. Measure length, width, and height sequentially. The device will calculate and display the volume.
• Kejl Pitagoriku: Agħfas il- MEAS button until the Pythagorean icon (triangle) appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to measure the required sides (hypotenuse and one leg) to indirectly calculate the third side.

5.6. Addition and Subtraction of Measurements

You can add or subtract measurements directly on the device:

1. Ħu l-ewwel kejl.

3. Take the second measurement. The device will display the calculated sum or difference.
