Setup

1. Measuring Body Temperature

  2. Hold the thermometer approximately 1-5 cm (0.4-2 inches) from the center of the forehead. Ensure there is no hair, sweat, or cosmetics obstructing the measurement area.
  3. Press the measurement button. The thermometer will beep once, and the reading will appear on the display within approximately 1 second.
  4. Interpret the reading based on the display color: Green for normal, Orange for elevated, Red for fever.

2. Measuring Surface/Ambient Temperature

  1. Switch the thermometer to surface or ambient temperature mode (usually indicated by a house or object icon).
  2. Point the thermometer at the surface or area you wish to measure. For surface temperature, hold it close to the object. For ambient temperature, hold it in the air.
  3. Press the measurement button. The reading will be displayed.

3. Understanding Fever Alarms

The Reer Colour Softtemp thermometer provides both visual and acoustic fever indications:

  • Allarm Viżwali: The display backlight changes color based on the temperature reading:
    • Aħdar: Temperature below 37.5°C (Normal)
    • Oranġjo: Temperature between 37.5°C and 37.9°C (Elevated)
    • Aħmar: Temperature above 37.9°C (Fever)
  • Allarm Akustiku: An audible beep will sound if the measured body temperature is above 37°C.

The thermometer automatically stores the last 25 temperature readings. To access the memory:

  1. With the thermometer turned on, press the "MEM" button (if available, or the mode button repeatedly until memory mode is shown).
  2. Each press of the "MEM" button will cycle through the stored readings, from most recent to oldest.
