The iStorage datAshur Personal is a PIN authenticated, hardware encrypted USB 3.0 flash drive designed to secure your data. Setup
Initial Setup and Admin PIN Creation
- Iċċarġja l-apparat: Before initial use, ensure the datAshur Personal is charged by connecting it to a powered USB port for approximately 30-60 minutes. The red LED will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
- Qawwa Mixgħul: Agħfas il- EWLENIN button once. The red and green LEDs will flash alternately.
- Set Admin PIN: Fi żmien 10 sekondi, agħfas il- EWLENIN button twice. The red LED will be solid. Enter a new Admin PIN (7-15 digits). Press the EWLENIN button. Re-enter the Admin PIN. Press the EWLENIN button again. A solid green LED indicates successful Admin PIN creation. If the red LED flashes, the PINs did not match or the process timed out; repeat from step 2.
Unlocking the Drive for First Use
- Connect the drive to a USB port.
- Agħfas il- EWLENIN button. The red and green LEDs will flash alternately.
- Enter your Admin PIN.
- Agħfas il- EWLENIN button. A solid green LED indicates the drive is unlocked and ready for use. The drive will appear as a removable storage device on your computer.

The USB connector is revealed by removing the protective cap. LED indicators show the drive's status, such as locked or unlocked.

Connecting and Accessing Data
- Unlock the drive using your PIN as described in the Setup section.
- Once the green LED is solid, insert the drive into a USB port on your computer or compatible device.
- The drive will be recognized as a standard USB storage device.

- To lock the drive, safely eject it from your operating system.
- Once ejected, press the EWLENIN button. The red LED will illuminate, indicating the drive is locked.
- Alternatively, the drive will automatically lock after a period of inactivity (default is 30 minutes, configurable via Admin mode).
The datAshur Personal can be connected to various devices, including smartphones, using appropriate adapters.
